The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to implement the pattern of Uniform System of Assessment and Examination for Grades VI to VIII. At the end of each term, the written examination paper will carry 80 marks as maximum in each subject along with an average of 10 + 5 + 5 marks for Unit Tests, Assignments and Subject Enrichment Activities in the subject concerned. The annual examination will similarly carry 80 marks as maximum in each subject with syllabus coverage as follows: Grade VI – 10% of previous terms / Grade VII – 20% of previous terms / Grade VIII – 30% of previous terms. An average of 10 + 5 + 5 marks for Unit Tests, Assignments and Subject Enrichment Activities will be the maximum marks in the subject concerned.

The focus is on knowledge and skills to develop a scientific attitude and to use and apply such knowledge for improving the quality of life .This learning can be used to analyze ,evaluate, synthesize and create.
SOCIAL SCIENCE ( GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, ECONOMICS AND POLITICAL SCIENCE)
Social studies includes the learning of history and culture, geographical environment, global institutions, constitutional values and norms, politics, economy interpersonal and societal interactions responsibilities and the incorporation of the above mentioned learning.
CO-SCHOLASTIC AREAS
Only a healthy child can learn effectively and good health leads to better learning .
The activities like games and sports, art and music, Craft work etc are termed as co-scholastic activities.
ART EDUCATION
The promoting abilities such as imagination, creativity valuing arts and cultural heritage.
Health and Physical education
Focus of this area is on helping the children to develop a positive attitude and commitment to lifelong healthy active living is the capacity to live satisfying ,productive lives with the helping of health management, indigenous sports, yoga, self-defense, fitness and life style choices.
